Welcome to the Metro NY Illini Club!!

On behalf of the entire Executive Board and your fellow NY, NJ, CT alumni, I would like to personally welcome you to the Metro NY Illini Club, a regional supplementary chapter of the University of Illinois Alumni Association (UIAA).  We welcome alumni and friends of all three campuses of the University of Illinois.

We have an active chapter and hope you will join us! We have members who graduated in the 1960s and everywhere in between.  They live in all five NYC boroughs, as well as Long Island, Westchester and Rockland counties, Connecticut, and New Jersey.  Singles, marrieds, even a few U of I couples.  Some were born and raised in this area and were out-of-staters at U of I; some were originally Midwesterners.

So what benefits does membership in the Metro NY Illini Club offer?

First, a unique slate of events planned to expand your knowledge, advance your career, and connect with fellow Illini in the Metro NY Area and re-connect with our great University:
 - Regular Happy Hours and other social events - Schmooze with fellow Illini
 - Speakers - Listen to leaders, and great thinkers discuss the latest in technology, business, science, the arts, and more
 - Career and networking events – Advance your career
 - Community service events – Give back to the Metro NY community
 - Broadway Shows and cultural events - Enjoy the all the local area has to offer with fellow Illini

Additionally, Members enjoy:
 - Free or discounted event admission, priority registration when space is limited and access to members-only programs
 - Access to the Metro NY Illini online alumni directory (release pending)
 - Your participation is the key to the Club’s success. We are also always looking for volunteers to help organize events and/or take leadership roles with the Club, and we appreciate your suggestions and comments.

Our Board continues to put a lot of work into providing exciting opportunities for our members. We hope you take advantage of these opportunities to meet Illinois alumni from all around the Metro NY Area and become a member. Welcome again and I hope to see you at one of our events soon!
